The Chevy Camaro SS has been a staple in the STILLEN Performance Shop for a while now and is always welcome for a Camaro LS3 supercharger install. We bolted on a Magnuson Supercharger to the 6.2L V8 motor, but this time with a different look… a Wrinkle Red finish.

You may remember the beautiful Victory Red Camaro SS in the shop back in June, but this Camaro LS3 supercharger install is slightly different, this Magnuson Supercharger has a wrinkle red finish. The wrinkle red Magnuson Supercharger is not as common as the black finished version, in fact, you’ll be hard pressed to find one as we have sold out of this color and is now only available as a special order, but the bright red color gives an aggressive look and style to this black Camaro LS3 engine bay.

The Magnuson Camaro LS3 Supercharger is a hybrid-roots supercharger with OEM-like fitment that does not require any modifications to the hood.

The California sun was beating down on the fresh black paint and pushing temperatures close to 100 degrees, which isn’t ideal for optimal horsepower gains. Powering through the heat and after a few pulls, the dyno tune showed increased power to 394HP on the Magnuson supercharged C5!

Since 1953, the Chevrolet Corvette has been a true American Classic. Old or new, it’s always a treat to have a Vette in the STILLEN Performance Shop, especially for a Corvette supercharger install on top of the LS1 V8.

With the Corvette supercharger installed, the Hybrid-roots supercharger produces 6 lbs of boost and delivers performance power while retaining reliability and drivablity.

After the 2001 Chevy Corvette supercharger install, a new RK Sport fiberglass hood was put in place to cover it and Dual Stainless Steel Magnaflow Exhaust installed for increased flow.

The Corvette Magnaflow exhaust system carries a limited lifetime warranty and has been dyno tested and proven for performance gains in horsepower and torque. It is a perfect add-on after the Magnuson Corvette Supercharger install.

The classic Ford GT is always a welcome sight in the STILLEN Performance Shop, and there is nothing that says classic race car like a white striped, Mark IV Red beauty.

Whether it’s a minor service or a full track build, you can rest assured knowing the factory trained STILLEN technicians know your GT inside and out and will give your supercar the proper care it deserves.

This GT service included some general maintenance along with a mount and balance of 4 fresh Michelin tires. From there, the Ford GT went on the rack for a complete computer alignment.

2011 Chevy Camaro Dyno Tune

Recently a 2011 Chevy Camaro SS came in for a little upgrade including a new intake and dyno tune.

The automatic L99 arrived at the STILLEN Performance Shop with a Camaro SS Magnaflow Cat-back exhaust system already installed. We quickly put it on the dyno to get some base numbers before the Camaro dyno tune. Numbers came back at roughly 345HP and 348TQ, a slight increase over a bone stock L99.

Cold Air Inductions – Camaro Cold Air Intake Kit

Along with a few other exhaust modifications, we added a Cold Air Inductions intake kit (#CAI501109910). These US made Camaro intake kits are ceramic coated inside and outside of the tube, and also include a thermal insulated air box to keep the incoming air as cool as possible. Cold Air Induction also specifically designs and engineers their own air filters to maximize performance.

Camaro Dyno Tune

Everything was installed and back on the dyno it went for some tuning.

After all was said and done, the Camaro dyno tune took the L99 up to 385HP, a power increase of 40HP!

The torque topped off at roughly 493TQ, an increase of 45TQ!

STILLEN Performance Shop Update – Ford GTs

With the Ford GT Rally 8 coming up in September in Northern California, we have started to see a few of these supercars trickle into the STILLEN Performance Shop. We are equipped to do everything from routine maintenance to high performance upgrades. STILLEN also manufactures and sells numerous performance parts for the GT.

We replaced all fluids, the oil pump and belt in this black beast, along with a mount and balance of some fresh new Bridgestone tires.

An upgraded Ford Racing supercharger pulley went into this blue striped machine. By simply installing the smaller supercharger pulley and a re-flash of the ECU, the STILLEN Performance Shop was able to see power increases of up to 100HP!

Whipple Supercharger – Camaro SS Convertible

One of the first Whipple Superchargers came through the STILLEN Performance Shop recently. With our newly signed agreement, STILLEN is now the only recognized and warranty certified installer in the Southern California area for all Whipple Superchargers. We were excited to get right to it and install one of these amazing pieces of machinery on a 2011 Chevy Camaro SS Convertible.

The Camaro SS has been a regular in the shop as of late, but this is one of the first convertibles. Although this was a fairly stock automatic L99 and already on a lower power range compared to it’s 6-speed LS3 brother, we were still hoping to see a significant power increase once the Whipple Supercharger was bolted on.

Getting Maximum Horsepower with Chevy Camaro SS Headers & Exhaust

We’ve been doing quite a few superchargers here in the STILLEN Performance Shop lately, but we know that not everyone is in the market for forced induction. There are definitely more ways to squeeze a few horses and great sound out of your engine without the investment of a supercharger. This 2011 Chevy Camaro SS went the way of an exhaust upgraded. JBA Headers up front, through the stocks cats, and a Magnaflow catback exhaust to finish up the rear.

Magnuson Supercharged Chevy SSR at the STILLEN Performance Shop

A rare sight to see a Chevy SSR on the road and even less likely to see one in the STILLEN Performance Shop. These Super Sport Roadsters were only built from 2003 to 2006. The early models had a 5.3L Vortec V8 producing around 300 HP. The later models got a LS2 motor and pushed closer to 400HP, so it’s no surprise that the owner wanted to drop a Magnuson Supercharger on this 2003.
